Island Rec offers scholarships in the form of reduced rates for income-eligible San Juan Island Residents. If you are in need of financial assistance to participate in Island Rec programs, please apply for a scholarship by registering for this program, or stop by our office to complete an application.

Eligibility:
Scholarships are available to residents of San Juan Island only. Scholarships are awarded based on total household gross income. Program discounts are outlined in Island Rec’s Scholarship Eligibility Policy. Current income eligibility guidelines are available here. Island Rec does not offer any full-ride scholarships. Please note that scholarship discounts vary by program type. All Scholarships expire on August 31 each year. You may re-apply each year.

FANS Fund:
If your income exceeds eligibility requirements for Island Rec’s scholarship program, but you still need financial assistance, please contact us! Limited additional scholarships are available through the generosity of the FANS Fund, which is supported by Families & Neighbors Support Island Rec.

*PLEASE NOTE* Scholarships MUST be applied for prior to registering and paying for programs. Scholarships cannot be applied retroactively. Please allow two business days to process your application and be notified by email of the results.
